In 2016 was the 400th anniversary of the Sakespeare birth. This conference will be the opportunity to approach the English writer following two axes : the music in the time of Shakespeare, but also the work of Shakespeare as inspiration of musical creations.

Baroque music in Germany

Thus we see the development of counterpoint, which culminates with the compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach.

Classicism and Haydn

Everything can be classified and organized: the musical language becomes more uniform, as if we were trying to do a bit of cleaning up in the past to keep a solid base in order to build the music to come. This structuring, led by composers like Haydn or Mozart, will give rise to works that will serve as models and whose language evrybody will refer to until today.
