Church of Villebadin

According to a rather common pattern of reuse of ancient places of worship, the early church was built in the early days of Christianity, in a background, on the passage of several springs, near a fountain where the people worshiped Venus at The Gallo-Roman period. Two terracotta statuettes were found nearby in the 19th century. They are currently deposited in the National Antiquities Museum of Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
In 1053, the church of Habloville was offered by the lords of Bellême to the abbey of Saint-Julien-de-Tours.
The primitive church has given way to the current building dating essentially from the 13th and 15th centuries.
