From september 7th to october 7th, september Musical de l'Orne offers a multi-faceted program.
The voice will be in all its states with Jean François Zygel and the Spirito Choir of Lyon, the Choir of the French Army, the Russian Choir of the Moscow Patriarchate, but also the Bird Singers. The ropes will have a place of choice. Nicolas Dautricourt will perform Sibellus and Grieg on violin, alongside the Normandy Regional Orchestra. We will discover Victor Julien Laferrière, cellist laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition of Belgium in 2017. He will be accompanied by Augustin Dumay and Henri Demarquette throughout a weekend "carte blanche" with the Royal Chamber Orchestra of Wallonia .
Three shows will be of particular interest to families: an Offenbach opera, The Grand Duchess of Gerolstein, an evening of gospels with Rhoda Scott and the choirs of the University of Maine and a jazz opera by Thierry Lalo, Pinocchio, with the Argentan Conservatory. Around the concerts, three lectures by Michael Andrieu and six visits of historical monuments and gardens will allow festival-goers to multiply the discoveries.
The festival does not stop the night of the last concert: throughout the year, his team intervenes with conservatories, schools and prisons to share music throughout our territory.
